When you have {title} in the page, it will show a different title already, depending on what you have set as the title of the different pages...

Is there anyway to skip the "/index.php?page=inner-1" ? and only have inner-1.php?

no problem, it is just hard to have two discussions in one thread, and it makes searching hard as well...
This post was about getting the title dynamically above the page, which is done with the {title}-tag....
Yours is about URLs, and making them more "readable". That is called pretty-URLs... Many posts are around, handling that...
