Hello,

I find this cms very intersting, and i started today with remaking of my html website. I tried for some year ago with this cms, but my web-host had php safe mode on. So i gave up for a while.. but im here now again trying with other soloutions.

I have a very simple site, so i decided first to upload images and modules with ftp client, but i found later a module named "FTP made simple" , but i cant find any files to download.  :(
This could be a very interesting and faster soloution for everyone with php safe mode problems. The idea is great because the user get the option to connect to ftp thru the cmsms admin panel.

Now my question is, can i find this module anywhere? is there other options?

My english sucks by the way, so sorry for that.

I hope that someone have a soloution.

My best regards

First of all, the FTP Made Simple has not been released.

Have you tried to upload through Content -> File Manager?

In File Manager Settings can you switch to advanced mode. When activating you'll be able to upload the modules etc via admin panel.

thank you for the fast answer.

I tried now to upload a image with file manager, and that did work. But im surprised, how is that possible when my php safe mode is on?

I did look around alot before i tried any cms, and people with safe mode on do upload files, modules manually with ftp etc.

So whats the main problem with php safe mode?

Maybe i can upload files because of that my safe mode settings on my server is not so strict?

Im from sweden and i use one.com, and of what i heard, people use to have problems with one.

Hi again!

nice with some swedish people here :)

I have built a few pages on one.com and it works ok. But I advise you to find a webhost with Safe Mode off to use CMS Made Simple maximum.

From CMSMS Docs
safe mode turned OFF. CMS Made simple does not support safe mode. Though it is possible to install and use cms made simple in with a host that uses safe mode, we will not support it. If you do install CMS made simple in a safe mode environment, you need to take careful and exhaustive effort to ensure that any problem you are encountering is not related to safe mode restrictions before posting any message on the forum.
