We are planning to use CMSMadeSimple for building this college site due to its accessibility and usability features.

We are looking for a Online College Information website for an Indian college. All the module are available in CMSMAdeSimple, so basically we are looking to get help on 5, 7 and 8 points.

We need this modules:

1. Articles
2. Blogs  (Preparation of Official Blog For College Teacher, non-teacher and as well as students.)
3. Event Notification
4. Photo Gallery
5. Exam Result   Entry/View/Search
6. Download section : Addmission Form/Tenders Form Downlaod
7. Library Books  Entry/View/Search (Online search option of Books from College Library)
8. Student/Ex-student/Teachers  Entry/View/Search (Online Database for College Students and as well as X-Students and there where abouts)
9. Donation Acceptance through a page using Paypal or CCAvenue (Need a Admin section to view donations)

10. Administration Panel

We will do the design ourself, We are just looking for a Latest Version of CMSMadeSimple CMS installed in our server with all the necessary modules and few small custom work for Point 5, 7, 8 (may be point 6?)

We need this very quickly within 5 days. How much it will cost.

Thanks for your time.

I highly doubt you will find any reputable developer who will accept this project on such a short timeframe.  You're asking for quite a lot of functionality, some of which is not included in the CMSMS core or modules, and which will require significant custom code work.  Then testing, etc, on top of that...  A couple of months, perhaps, but 5 days?  :o

Thanks for your message. May I know, which one among 10 points, it looks difficult to accomplish ?  I assume Point 1, 2 3, 4 and  6 already exist as a module in CMS, so you wont need to work anything on it.  Point 7, 8, 9 need some work,, a admin interface to enter data and a client interface to view/search.

Yes, there are existing modules that will most likely fit your needs for News Articles, Blogs, Photo Gallery, and Download section, and Donation Acceptance.  The CMSMS admin panel is already well-established, and provides admin access to all installed mods.

I am not aware of an existing Event Notification module.

For item 7 (Library Books) - this would require a custom mod for access to your library's database, or would require integration of your existing application in some form (a full port, simple iFrame, etc.)

Would need a lot more information about item 8 (Student/Ex-student/Teachers).  Has the potential to be quite complex.

It could easily take a week or two just to come up with specs for each of these features, then the actual application development on top of that.

Let me modify the project a bit to make it look simpler.

1. Articles (articles about college)
3. News  (news about college)
4. Photo Gallery (gallery of students/teachers)
5. Calendar/Events (a page to post events about college)
5. Contact Us (users to send email)
6. Site Map (a site map module)
7. Download section : Addmission Form/Tenders Form Downlaod (a place where teachers/admin will lupload PDF/Word form for students to download)
8. Exam Result   Entry/View/Search
9. Admin Control Panel

So I think, everything is available, all we need is Point 8. Exam Results Publish. We need a module here. Publication of College Results including Both B.Sc. Level and B.Ed. in Separate Section and the process of the uploading it, with absolute easy going process (i.e. the process that can be done by even any clerical persons available in the college at time to time basis. Equaly, a nice interface in frontened to view the results.

NOTE: There many way we can create this website using Joomla or drupal but my point is accessibility and usability where I think CMSMadeSimple bit ahead then rest.

Any taker ? If interested mail me back urgenty at admin (at) anblik (dot) com by today with quote. I will finalize my decision by today. Thanks.

I would agree that your new plan is more realistic given a short time frame.  My development skills fall far short of what I think you would need for point 8.  However, I'm still not exactly certain what you are looking for.  Are you wanting to be able to administer exams online, or just publish results?  What format are the results?  Do you need to be able to sort the results?  Are these to be publicly viewable or protected?  Etc.
