auto sign in to my intranet cms site with win username

hi
first i want to thak you all for this nice cms sorry for my poor english
I have cms 1.5.4 initranet , what i want is to let the user sign in automatclly from ther windows username and i dont want them to reenter any other password sure also i want to grouped the user with frontenduser ...
can i do this and how ???

You will need a LDAP authentication hook. I looked into this in the past but never really pursue it. Currently nothing exists for CMSMS that will fit your needs, you would need to sponsor the development of a new module.

No problem. When I looked into this there really wasn't enough interest for LDAP so it was one of those if you need it you sponsor and pay for the development of it. I don't think that has changed much. You may get lucky and find someone that is willing to help sponsor it.

I used LDAP in a custom site before (not CMSMS) and it was really quite easy. There are some very good libraries available which just give you a username and that's all you really need to know to integrate it.

Don't have the time to help you with a CMSMS module though sorry.
