Very nice looking site. The virtual tour took a while to load for each room, but was pretty nifty.

My only criticism would be the duplicate menus (top and side). They seem kind of redundant.

About the right menu, I agree with you. Was placed there to fill up some room, and for dummies that have problems with dropdown menus.

Also there are another reasons. There will be sections with more than 30 items, and they will be displayed on the left menu, cause the dropdown would take too many space. So the main horizontal menu will be a quick solution to access some areas that will have more submenus. In some pages (like barbeque details page) the menu is collapsed just for that area.

The Virtual Tour takes a while to load because the resolution the two levels: 1.8 Gigapixel and 900 megapixels per panorama. That´s a lot, but looks perfect in my LG 50 inches HDTV at 1080. If you think that you´re loading two sliced 6000x3000/3000x1500 (has two resolution levels) high quality JPEG in the virtual tour for each room, let´s say that the load time is pretty well comparing to the quality.

I have a cat just like yours!

Well, took me a lot of job and some equipment plus software

The recipe is:

-  A good SLR Fullframe Camera
-  A Circular or Fisheye Lens
-  A Panoramic Head
-  A good Tripod
-  A stitching software, I used PTGUI
-  A flash player... used krpano
-  Many hour and tweaks till I get some good results.

About 6000-8000 USD to start


But, it was really difficult to get everything together.

The tour is amazing. I think it could be useful around town for Realtors and Home Builders but that is quite an investment.

Thanks for the link. Would you be more specific in your "recipie" above as far as the equipment, models you used to do your 360. This has to be where the major investment is. I am sure I wouldn't charge enough for the product either which is probably what makes the investment so scary.

4. Canon 20D, 800 USD
5 PTGUI, 150 USD
7 Krpano 100 USD


1650 USD - far better

My investment was greater bacause, the brand and models of each equipment.


I will charge 1500 USD for a single panorama and 250 per extra ambient.

With the same quality as Vento Haragano panorama

So I see 6000 usd as a medium term investment

Thanks for the "shopping list" it puts things in to perspective for me It may be something I may look into doing. I'll check out various forums for tips, if you have any suggestions I would appreciate it.

I never would have thought a Tripod would cost so much. But I am assuming this is one of those "you get what you pay for" situations

It looks different to the standard horizontal css menu - {global_content name='menu'}...

wow nice work Viebig - specialy the 360° looks great.
I have seen some 360°-works but these was clear, sharp and excelent made!

Aussie Gecko  {global_content name='menu'} is not a standard/default way of calling menus in cmsms, he used some JS to get his menu to drop like that, if you look at source of page you see the calls in head...

Oh yes, thats right, I actually had the menu part of my site in a content block, scuse the error.
