I've had it, I'm out of here. Come with me!

In light of recent events I have decided that I cannot handle the drama that comes along with this package.
I was always against Joomla in the past, but I had a buddy convert me last night. That package really is amazing, especially with all of the available modules. Had I known that everything was available that I wanted I would not have wasted my time sponsoring and working on modules to fit my needs. I really don't care if the templating isn't like it is with cmsms, there are thousands of themes available for me. It will be cheaper and easier in the long run.
Another bonus is their community is so much better. I was reading their forums last night and they actually know whats going on and the stupid questions and posts are so minimal it doesn't want to make you want to pull your hair out.
Just to see if it really was easy I made a test site last night with Joomla. It was so easy, easier than anything I've ever done with a CMS. Plus it looks amazing. Below is a link to the test site.
This is my last post for now, I may be back later to ridicule you all for not seeing the light like I have. If you want to have your eyes opened like I did... send me an emai,l I'll give you a run down like my buddy did.
Joomla... HERE I COME!

Hey Tyman,
I hate to say this, but I'm feeling pretty discouraged, too. I'm very unhappy with the way that forum conversation is "policed"--a quick comparison of CMSMS, Drupal, and Joomla shows me one thing that the other two allow, and that's open posting. If I ask about Drupal 4, no one jails me--they just ignore it if they don't want to answer!
People at this CMS sure do have a feeling of being harassed & are pretty easily angered. It's discouraging & is probably a part of why this CMS feels so stagnate. A small number of people have a great deal of ownership....
not a pleasent experience honestly

The only thing I can say is that they deserve you.
Personally, after heavily using both Joomla and CMSMS, both for home application and business application, I've come to the conclusion that for most situations, CMSMS is by far the easiest, most flexible CMS out there.
What you will likely discover is that it's not "I'm either a Joomla man or a CMS Made Simple man!". You'll fall somewhere in the middle of realizing that you need to be both. See, to create a dynamic, thriving community that requires tons of users, an array of different modules, functionality and large size, Joomla is the king. However, you trade in ease of use, your users having a more difficult time navigating in the back end, you definitely do much more training, and you lose much of your dexterity when it comes to modifying your templates or inserting custom code.
I recommend that you just cool your jets and take an objective view of both systems and use them accordingly.

Streever: I am not a fan of Drupal, but more power to you for going away from CMS Made Simple. No kidding about the forum police... how dare they prevent me from posting my rushed and not thought out posts in the wrong forum. I'll post what I want where I want. If you don't want to answer, don't!
xheathen: For being a first time poster I will assume you haven't seen much of the action around here lately. I've dealt with it long enough and I see no need to cool my jets. I've done it enough times.

Suit yourself.
This may be my first post, but I'm certainly not a novice, and I clearly have more experience in Joomla. I'm just surprised any developer would choose not to treat a tool just as it is: a tool. CMSMS is good for the certain needs of a marketshare of clients. When you see the platform doesn't supposed a different tier of client, you don't just abandon one and move to another.
Just like when you get into Joomla, you'll notice the various limitations of it and may need to learn Drupal, make a CMSMS Hybrid or go with some other solution entirely.

xheathen: Ok, Thanks! Did you by chance check out my test site? I'd like to know what you thought since you know Joomla.

Apparently no one has bothered to check out Tyman's test "Joomla" site. I guess I'm not impressed. I could easily do the same thing with CMSMS
(I have to admit, Tyman. You got me... Nicely done.)

I think the bottom line for any of us is that we're just too lazy to build our own

As I am sure you can see by now, I am joking. I was able to lure some of you into my April Fools joke. For those of you that come across this thread in the future and my "Joomla Test" site isn't available, it was a link to a very basic HTML page that said "April Fools" and it had a picture of a Horse Laughing.
I'm going to lock the thread since there really is no need to reply anymore. Thanks for being good sports everyone.
