Adding and placing a new block...[Solved]

Hello, some of you may have seen my other threads - if not, I'm figuring out my way around CMSms on a layout that was created for me by a friend who passed away before I finished learning/setting things up. I did not write the code, and only have basic HTML knowledge for the most part.

I'm trying to add an "Affiliates" block with links/buttons below my sidebar menu, but don't know how to place it. I created a Global Content Block for the Affiliates block, I just don't know which file it should be inserted to or exactly how it should be coded to ensure the right placement.

Would it work to just use the tag provided on the GCB and save it at the end of the menu code? I'm afraid to mess with it.

Thank you...if any additional details are required, please let me know.

I hope it's acceptable to bump this post now - if not, I apologize in advance.

In short, I really just don't know which .css file it should be added to (the menu itself, or the general page layout), or exactly how to guarantee the correct location, and as I really don't know what I'm doing, am afraid to try without guidance.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If you want to add it on a template basis (which I think is what you want, identify the spot you want to have your code and place the "GCB Tag" there. Save your template. And that's it.

You can quickly get there, when you click the template name in the page listing overview (Content->Pages).

To guarantee the correct location, you need to look for some site of "landmark" What is near the spot you want to add the stuff to?

However, if you really don't HTML you might want to ask someone to do it for you. There is a section for commercial help requests if you can't find someone near you.

Best
