I am Geediu

Hi,

First I want to say CMSms changed my life somewhat... I was a html junkie before back in the late 90s but gave up soon after things got fancy (css, xhtml, javascript, flash) and gave up on the web stuff. I came across CMSms when I had to look for a way to migrate a web site from a closed-source CMS tool (around Oct 07).

Since then I have been maintaining and making web sites using CMSms. I must say it has somewhat helped me reignite my passion doing web stuff... please give me more time, and I will try to make better web sites.

For now here are a few I'd like to show:

My personal site: www.geediu.com
modules: text embellisher, blogs made simple, captcha
other: rotating image php script, photo album using pictobrowser
My full time work site: www.econveyance.com (this is the one I converted from a closed-source CMS)
modules: cggooglemap, form builder, news flash scroller
My own business site: www.digispec.ca
used rotating image php script with this one
My customer site: www.pieceofcakecreations.ca
  modules: photo album
...and another: www.aircargoexpress.ca
  this one nothing fancy  :-\

I am sure they need more work done but for a beginner I am quite proud of what I am capable of doing with this easy to use CMS kit. Please give me comments and suggestions (both positive and negative are fine)... so I could improve!

Many thanks ;D

Welcome back to web design and development.

CMSMS has been one of the few systems which has let me deploy simple to medium sites with the least fuss possible. Personally, the admin backend is what makes CMSMS suitable for my clients. The metaphor and language used in the backend is ideal for people with non technical skills.

I hate when programmers create backends in CMSes that they understand, but makes no logical sense, in terms of the language used, to anyone else or lay people who will eventually administer the site, who are ultimately the people who should be the primary concern.

Anyway, enough rambling. There are some things that annoy me about the CMS, but they're minor in the overall scheme of things. I'll wait until v2 of CMSMS and see if these gripes are addressed. Otherwise, good luck and people in the forum are usually good at solving issues that arise if you have any problems.

Have fun.

Recently received a couple of quotes for setting up small e-commerce sites, but fell through because I haven't been able to demo a functional site.

Maybe it's time to do up a mock site using the modules available here, or consider donating to get the modules completed.

Stay tuned.

PS still feeling a little disappointed by the lack of feedback on my sites.

Ok first comment is to go back to the ones using older cmsms and update them before they get hacked, sorry but the older ver. of cmsms did have a vulnerability..

Now you may want to run them thru validation just to check...
