I can get all albums as one menu entry. But I want a list of albums(possibly a hierarchy) added to the menu.
The only way I can figure out how to do this is to add one album per page. Is there an easier way?

Yes, it will be really good function to gel all album links with possibility highlight active album link.
Anyone has an idea if it's possible or not? 

No, it is a module so you will have to make pages for it...
