Duplicate Content ?

Does the latest CMS 1.5.2 output any duplicate content?

I've read a few threads like this:
http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... l#msg90702

I'm testing out .htaccess/mod-rewrite with the demo site content and so far I haven't seen anything duplicated

I'm pretty sure Joomla and maybe Drupal still have duplicate content issues, which as I understand things can whack you in the search engines.

Many thanks  :)

There are no duplicate content issues in CMSMS.... unless you do silly things like

a) roll out your site
b) submit the site to search engines
c) share links with people
d) wait for it to be indexed by the search engines
e) enable the pretty url stuff
f) re-submit the site to the search engines

Search engines crawl sites... they don't guess URLS.... so therefore, if you haven't done anything silly change your url formatting after your site is well established.... there will be no duplicate content.

Just because the same page CAN be accessed in numerous ways doesn't make it a duplicate content issue.
