Search breaks with apostrophe

I am running CMSMS 1.5.1 and have noticed that when i search for "there's" or anything with a single quote in it, the search not only breaks and does not find what i am looking for but also spits out this result -- Search Results For "there's" No Results Found!
Is there a setting I've missed? Seems pretty huge.
