Pisearch - exclude pages?

Hi
I am trying out pisearch for the first time. I would like to be able to exclude pages (actually a whole section) from the search and am including this tag on my results page:
This is not working at all, the search is displaying all results as normal.
Does anyone have any suggestions why this isn't working?
