Databse with search function

Hi,
I need to add a database with a search function to the site I'm working on. It will be a simple database containing buildings with various details about them, name, location, construction, age etc. The front end user needs to be able to view them by category or search the entries for keywords.
Does any know of a module that will allow me to do this?
