[solved] content moved itself into section 5.

this is weird; I'm trying to sort out a 1.3.1 install that's been running fine for the past year, but has now started doing weird stuff.

menu items/sections 1 - 4 are ok, but beyond that everything gets shoved into item/section 5., there are even multiple item/section 5. 's -

I've nuked all CMSMS default content pages to try and fix it;  I've tried creating new content pages with new 'titles' and moving existing articles to it, then the next thing I know the new item/section is listed as item/section 5 along with other 'item/section 5.' s in the nav menu.

got me bamboozled

EDIT: please add the [solved] to the subject line if it is...

You need to upgrade to the latest release, older ver. aren't supported...

thanks, thought that might be the case.

I just need a refresher; could you give me a run down of the procedure, or point me to the instructions on forum (I've tried searching, but can't seem to find it, maybe I'm looking in the wrong spots).

hmmm, did the upgrade to 1.5.1, but the nav menu still only goes to 5.

the site has 5 menu items appearing together when anyone of them is clicked; they worked correctly previously, but something went whacky in the past month or so (I only host and 'maintain' the site, I'm not the owner/user, so I'm not sure exactly when this started happening).

Now they are all grouped under 5. (see attached screenshot) instead of 5. 6. 7. 8. & 9. - how do I get the items to group correctly under the 'no parent' option

You may want to go to Site Admin » Page Defaults and check to see if the Default Parent Page: isn't set to #5...

default parent page is set to 'none' (as it always has been)

OK....

I think you have a re-order issue.... This is solved in SVN and will be in the next release...

For now, go to re-order pages (In Content -> Pages), and just move a page UP and DOWN, like in changing nothing....
Then press "Submit" and the hierarchy will be re-calculated.

thanks Ronny,
that seems to have sorted it out, all items are displaying correctly in the Nav menu now.

What is SVN ?

SVN is subversion, where all development changes are in.....

From SVN is then a release cut, which will be the next release, so everything in SVN, will be in the next release..
