Is there any way to have "default" content appear automatically in a newly created page?
For example what I want to do is have an empty, but preformatted, table appear, ready for the user to fill in when they create a new page.

I have discovered how to do  {content block="Second Content Block" default="some text"}, but it doesn't work if I try and put the html for the table as the default text.  Even if that approach did work, I guess the edited, filled in table would continually be overwritten by the blank table.

Any help appreciated!

have your tried the "default content" in the site settings in the admin ?
Which CMSms version are you using ?
