Pretty URL's for News Pagination?

I've recently been tweaking the News module installation on my website with different things (prettier url's, news article title in the title bar) and this has been on my mind. My article URL's are nice and neat but I noticed that the pagination URL's are still a mess. Has anyone out there devised an htaccess masterpiece that cleans these URL's up? I've been searching around but to no avail. I know I could write something myself but that would take hours and hours and hou.....you get the point.
I want the outcome to be something like /news/page-2/, /news/page-3/, etc. I saw a topic that Elijah made in regards to porting over your News entries to the Calendar module using a bridge module of some sort, but I'm not sure as to if that's even compatible with 1.5.1 (and there are no files available on the Forge section for the news to calendar bridge module). Elijah and calguy always seem to be my saving graces when it comes to searching the forum for solutions. Any ideas? If I've overlooked a previous topic covering this, please let me know
. I haven't been able to find anything. Thanks!
