hi,

does anyone have the same problem on the admin side:
editing a page, inserting an image. and when i click the "browse" button, image manager dialog window appears, but requires me to log on, and after logon, shows the CMS front page.

is it just a bug for the new version or is it me :) ?

Go to Extensions > TinyMCE

on the page that opens, check the box for "Allow upload and creating dirs in FilePicker:"

and see if that helps.

I was actually able to re-create your problem, and I ended up having to uninstall Tiny, and re-install with an older version (2.4.1).

I was also having troubles to getting the latest version of Tiny to show the correct front end WYSIWYG toolbars, so I scrapped it for that reason as well.

I'm not sure if downgrading will help you, but you might try it.

Hi I am experiencing the same problem.

I"m using CMSMS 1.5.2 with TinyMCE 2.4.8 and I get the login page when clicking on the bnrowse server button (FCKEditor being fine btw).

The undefault settings used in TinyMCE are

- Unckecked auto width size so 800px is now the width
- checked file upload and directory creation
- check strip background tags
- allow table operations on backend only

Using TinyMCE 2.4.1 did not make a difference for me.

Thanks

I'm having the same exact issue at any of the versions... Has ANYONE figured out what's going on with TinyMCE? My original problem was that i was getting a 404 error every time you browsed for a URL/file, but after changing versions, permission, etc. I am consistently getting the login page whenever it is selected now.

Ah LOT of stuff has been fixed in TinyMCE lately. I will do a beta-release tonight, please test and report anything so we can get it right for cms upcoming 1.5.3! I think the login-box problems should be fixed. They were due to the added XS-security measure introduced in later versions.

Sorry for the problems.

Has the beta been posted? I'm sorta new at this, so just wanted to give it a shot and give a report.

TinyMCE 2.4.9?

Has anyone found where Silmarillion has posted the beta so we can overcome the login panel appearing on browse?

Yes, please, if someone knows how this has been resolved, please explain! I am running CMSMS 1.5.1 and whether I use TinyMCE 2.4.1 or 2.4.8, I'm getting that login page when I use the file browser, too. I've deleted and reinstalled, leaving all settings on default.

Ok, problem solved, I tried using the very newest version of TinyMCE (2.4.12) even though I'm not on the newest version of CMSMS and now all is well.

Hi there,

I continue to have this problem, can't seem to shake it.

I can often use TinyMCE to insert a picture once by browsing the FilePicker. I can then save the page or news item. Next time I try to insert a picture using TinyMCE, I get the login screen in the dialog box as others have described here. Logging out of CMSMS, quitting the browser, restarting the browser, logging back into CMSMS sometimes allows me to repeat the process (able to insert one photo), but sometimes this does not seem to solve it either.

I've got TinyMCE 2.4.12, which I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. System information appears below - any assistance would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Jon

Hello,

you should keep current with 1.6.x now. Backup everything before upgrading, of course.
