Make sure you're using a PHP version that has tokenizer support compiled in.
Beginning with PHP 4.3.0 these functions are enabled by default. For older versions you have to configure and compile PHP with --enable-tokenizer.

If your read Requirements for CMSMS you can read at least PHP 4.3+ (better 4.3.3+)

I'm having the the same problem, but with PHP Version 5.1.2. The PHP manual says that the tokenizer extension are enabled by default. I can't remember that we did anything not to enable this. Does anybody have a solution for enabling this or any other suggestion for troubleshooting?

Depend if your php is compiled with this extension and/or it's disable. Look in your phpinfo()

Hey guys.

I'm getting the same error when trying to upgrade from CMSMS 1.2.5 to 1.6.8. Clearly, the issue seems to be the hosts server... no tokenizer listed on my info file???

Any ideas? CMSMS 1.2.5 was working perfectly before I started this upgrade. Was there no tokenizer support in 1.2.5?

Thanks!

And after reinstalling 1.2.5 things are back "working" - although I'm wary of having such an out of date CMSMS running.

???
