Simple Viewer shows only the thumbs

Hi, I have a strange problem: the simple viewer worked very well and suddenly it will show just no pictures and instead just a small black point for newly created galleries. The thumbs are still visible. What did I do wrong? I created the folder with the pictures, created the uploads category and then embedded it into the simple viewer gallery as i did before. The .xml file is fine in my opinion and the file size as well not exaggerated. May I have a database problem? I need a hint.
