User Preferences

The guy that installed CMSms for us made a couple of tweaks to it when it was installed, and I now do not have a User Preferences tab. Which is annoying. He can't remember exactly what it was he modified to remove it.

Any suggestions? ???

Welcome Hannibal,

please provide more information (at the very least version). Since 1.4, CMSms displays "System Information" from its admin panel.
To your point now : using FileZilla3 or such a tool you can compare an original file hierarchy with the live one of your server. This may help the "guy that installed CMSms" for you "remember exactly what it was he modified to remove it". And if you have good backups you can overwrite his fork with the official package.

I've spoken to the guy again, and he said that he didn't remove/add any actual files, but that he just edited one of them.

I've since found out I can access the User Preferences by going to ../admin/editprefs.php, but I'd like to be able to get the link back at the top. Any ideas?

If you upgrade to the latest version (1.5), it should fix it automatically.

Really? Nice. I assume I don't have to worry about it messing up any of my content or anything?
