Cms_selflink or maybe Cataloger problem

There seems to be a problem with either Cataloger or Cms_Selflink. It's a bit tricky to understand however.
For example:
If you are using Cms_Selflink for 'Next' and 'Previous' links within your web site it works fine unless you happen to be in a Cataloger set of pages within a normal set of pages. Then the 'Previous' link on all the Cataloger pages would be to the page previous in the hierarchy which was a normal (not Cataloger page) i.e. CMS Selflink seems to be ignoring the Cataloger pages or can't see them properly?
This may happen with other modules as well?
The following link highlights this, it's on a Cataloger page and it's previous link is 'privacypolicy.shtml' (a normal page) which is not the previous link in the hierarchy - it should be 'flower1.shtml' (a catalogor page)
