Modules page is blank

Hello
I've just installed cmsms with no problems.
I started going through the default cmsms pages to learn the basics.
When I click on Modules under Default Extensions it comes up blank.
Is this a test on my ingenuity or is there a problem with the clean install??
Thanks in advance

Sorry Pierre,
I using MAMP on Mac osx 10.5, Apache 2, PHP version 5.2.5, MySql version 5.0.41.
I have located when the error occurs when I use .htaccess and change the config.php to $config['assume_mod_rewrite'] = true;
and yes pretty_urls are still false the Modules page under Default extensions comes up blank with with only this "`" in the source. I corrected the problem on a fresh install by recreating the Modules page in the admin area and reassigning the sub pages to it.
Not sure why the clean install has this error, I'm still finding my way around cmsms.
Hope this helps and sorry for not being more informative on my first post.

Never heard about someone not getting the default content if they let it be copied into the db under the installation.
Can be something with your installation of MAMP and how it looks for the pages (.htm .html .php) - but I have never tried MAMP myself.

Hello reneh,
I don't think it's MAMP I use it for lots of development work with no problems at all.
What I can't understand yet is why it only affects the Modules page?
If I copy the content and recreate a new Modules page the problem goes away.
If I get some time in the near future I will delve deeper.
It's not a major problem and if need be I can recreate the page.
These pages will be replaced by the clients content anyhow.
I new to cmsms and so far I really like it. I've used other cms's but this is winning my heart.

The http error log and/or the http rewrite log should have some hint to help diagnose the issue.
And System Info doesn't hurt.
