Again I worked at the Comments module. I still tried to solve some bugs and added some features like:

• Added Admin Pagination using code from Products module.
• Added trackback functionality for using the news module as a blog.
• Added spam protection for the trackback functionality (IP-based and remote website analysis).
• Added functionality to edit the author website and email.
• Added possibility to distinguish between comments from visitors or editors or trackbacks.
• Added IP logging.
• Added notify functionality (EMail and RSS) for a comment author by new comments.
• Some code cleaning.

Now I'd like to release a beta version of Comments 1.9, but I have no access in Forge to do it. What's the way forward now?

Create an account in the Forge and request inclusion in the Comments module development group.

I'm already a developer of Comments. I checked in my changes via SVN.

I think, after login on Forge, there is supposed to be a link or something else on the tab "Files" of the module page.
Maybe I need an additional permission ...

I think that project admin only can release file
