Hello,

I'm new to the board, but already in need of help! I was trasferring CMSMS files with FTP, when I uploaded and replaced config.php and .htaccess files to the CMSMS root. Unfortunately they were wrong files :'(  I got confused with two similarly named files on my computer. I don't have backup of the original files, but everything else is as it was and database is not corrupted. There is CMS Made Simple 1.2.3 "Black Rock" installed.

What is there to do to get the site runnig again?!?

I'm already thankful for any solution.

If you do a reinstall, without populating the database with the sample data when the installer asks, you should get a newly created config.php.

Caution: backup your db before doing this - just in case.

Thank you very much for the answers! I got my site regenerated. After all I found a backup that was made by a coincidence to quite an unlikely place... Anyways, Nullig, your suggestion sounds definitely worth a try for anybody in my situtation.  Hopefully this serves as a lesson for other people as well. It certainly did for me!  ;)
