The help page of the comments module describes how to use the comments module with the news module.
Example of using with News module
Put this in your News "Detail Template":
{cms_module module='comments' modulename='News' pageid=$entry->id}

So where is the problem.. I do not really understand it... Do you have problems using the module on several pages? Are there interferences between the comments in your content and in your news items?
