unable to resolve TEMPLATE caching problems - content caching works

I'd like to ask your help in solving a small problem that I haven't been able to solve by just browsing the forum...
After moving my perfectly running version of CMSMS 0.11.1 to another directory on the same server, I properly changed all connection infos in config.php, and I made sure that all directories in tmp are set to "777". The web site works fine, and so does the CONTENT preview , but I have a problem with TEMPLATE previewing.
I cleared the cache via the admin, and CMSMS is actually writing some cache files into cache/templates_c , but I still have nocache-errors occuring when I try to preview.
I also get this error:
{nocache:bcf60f5aa02179cf8505d46669e31493#5}
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /homepages/7/d74529317/htdocs/cms/modules/EllNav/EllNav.module.php on line 218
everything worked perfectly before I changed the directory...
what could be the mistake...?
btw, the nocache errors only occur on linked images (cms_selflink), there seems to be a general problem with navigational elements.
all images that are NOT linked are cached properly
is anyone able to help?
