I don't know if it is stupid question but I wonder if I could eventually sell a website I made (not yet) with CMSM, I mean, I want to develope a site upon a DomainName I own and then try to sell such Domain....could I sell it if completely developed used this engine? Is it there some restriction or some rule to observe.
Exuse me but I want to be shure about what I am doing, especially I wouldn't infringe any right .
Thank you a lot.

You're more than welcome to use for a commercial website that you'll be selling. The only thing that is restricted is repackaging the CMS itself, putting a new name on it, and reselling it. Also, any modifications made to the core of the system or included modules must be released as open source as well to the general public.

a clarification: you don't have to actually *release* any changes or new code you do that works with a gpl licensed cms. it's just *if* you do, it must also be licensed under the gpl. doesn't mean you can't sell a new module or whatever, but if you do, the buyer gets it with a gpl license and *all* the rights that go with it (including distribution).
mr.t: the best way to "sell" an open source cms package is to sell the services that go along with it, such as setup, design, hosting, maintenance, and training, but not charge for the software itself. make sure the client is aware of the license terms for the software itself.

in my case: I do not sell CMS Made Simple, I even advertize it as a great free opensource script.
However, I bill my time for installing it (if they need), as well as the time to create a design, or time spent to train them.
well. to be honest, I just start
Like me, but due to lack of time i have only one customer.
By the way after you get a bit of money, think to do a little donation to Wishy for the project
