Reorder Page not working

OK, I'm running CMSMS 1.4. In the content page manager, when I try to reorder the pages, the link appears as "listcontent.php?error=jsdisabled" and won't work, nothing happens. This happens for both browsers. Also, I can't move pages up or down unless I refresh, then it shows the new order. It's very tedious. And yes, javascript is on. Any ideas?
Thanks!

The link looks same for me, but reordering works as before. Maybe because my installation is upgraded from 1.3.1?

It works on the site, but when I ftp the folder onto my machine, it no longer works. Also the "expand" and "collapse" section buttons don't work at all either. Any idea?

If you are using 1.4.1 you may want to try the System Verification and System Information to see if your up to snuf...
It helped me find a pest on some ones install...

Downloaded 1.41, (that was a quick release! totally missed it!). Updated all the files with new ones, still doesn't work. Other CMSMS sites work on the same browser.
I'm guessing it's a database problem?

Oh, by the way, a couple of times I've had a very weird rather large "XML error" file pop up on the screen. I didn't copy the code though.
Thanks!

Yeah, in the system verification, everything checks out fine. Checksum only found install directory missing (since I had deleted it) and and a couple temp/cache files.
./tmp/templates_c/index.html
./tmp/cache/index.html
./tmp/cache/SITEDOWN
Maybe it's a problem with Ajax accessing the database? Just my first thought. By the way, it is an imported database, the one on the other end is fine (everything still works). It was a mirror copy that I did onto my local harddrive. Hope that helps! Thanks for the help!

mark, I've pm'ed you the system info. Hope that helps! By the way, it seems like others have been experiencing the same problem, so it's not independent of my system. I'm thinking the database import from Mysql had to have done something.

This will really bust your noodle now Mark. Some pages have the same exact page order number (for instance 2.1). Seems like it would be easier just to edit the database directly

I meant reinstall w/o writing tables in the DB info step...
There are 2 check boxes for writing tables to DB and installing default pages at the bottom, whne you need to do a reinstall you do everything like normal but DON'T CHECK these, it may help with this problem...

ok, that seemed to work mark

(reinstall that is

Everythings hunky dorey (sp? haha

. For my info, besides the config file, what files are changed normally by CMSMS (or is it only the database that is ever changed)?
This was too weird! Any idea what happened?
Thanks!

Only thing change in folders/files is what you add when FTP to site all other info is in DB, templates, CSS, content, news articles, calendar events, etc. etc....
