[SOLVED] CMS Made Simple 1.4.1 installation problems

i just installed this new version on a brand new site (fresh installation not an upgrade) and when i go to the login page i get this on top of the page:

once im logged in i get:

i also notice that this new version does not work that great in firefox... are there any other known browsers this does not work in?

Try re-uploading all the files, it seems like some files arent transferred completely...

CMS Made Simple works best in Firefox... IE is known to have problems from time to time...

maybe because of the issue i am having it didnt work in firefox... the menu was missing... i am reuploading all files and going to start from scratch to see if this problem is gone AND it works on firefox

i erased all files and reuploaded entire cms again and still get the same errors... ive changed persmission to all folders i can think of and still get the same error

Were there any warnings during the install?
What is your PHP memory limit?

no warning while installing... i get those warnings in the log in page... then different warnings once i have logged in - I've made just about every folder i can think off writable and still get these warnings
see images attached to get an idea where on the pages the errors show up
notice here how the menu doesnt show up either... almost like the background image for the menu is missing... i do get the popup and rollover effect... but i dont see the menu (firefox only that i know of so far)

for now i went back to version 1.3.1 which does not give me these warnings

Try to rename to other name this file admin/lang/sk_SK.nls.php

not sure what you mean... what file should i rename? but anyway, i went back to version 1.3.1 which works just fine for what i need. i tried two times to install 1.4.1 and both times got the same problem

It looks like you have Dreamweaver rollback/checkout files in there (.LCK) which may be making things screwy.

mmhhh!! first time i did upload thru dreamweaver... second time thru an FTP software but... but now that i think about it, not sure if i deleted the local files with a clean version (which would have removed any dreamweaver (.lck) files... might just have to try wiping the site clean and start from scratch

ok... clean install not an upgrade and this time did NOT use dreamweaver to upload the files and... YEAH!!!!!!
It looks like you have Dreamweaver rollback/checkout files in there (.LCK) which may be making things screwy.
