Update to 1.31 ? [Solved]

Hello,

I'am still not quite convinced reading the previous topic.

Can someone confirm?

step 1) download the new version 1.31
step 2) unzip to local hard drive
step 3) UPload to hosting provider  (before doing so make a backup from all files and database)
step 4) Go to the www.etcetc.com///installation
step 5) ...........?

Q1: Does this overwrite all my previous files
Q2: Does it overwrite my images and documents in the uploaded folder?
Q3: Does it "delete" or overwrite my current modules etc?

Depends on what ver. cmsms you are upgrading from...

if it's a new enough ver....

step 1) download the new version 1.3.1
step 2) unzip to local hard drive
step 3) UPload to hosting provider  (before doing so make a backup from all files and database)
step 4) Go to yousite/installation/upgrade.php

Q1: Does this overwrite all my previous files      only CMSMS folders/files...
Q2: Does it overwrite my images and documents in the uploaded folder?    No...
Q3: Does it "delete" or overwrite my current modules etc?  Only core modules...

And it may be a good idea to clear the cache before the backup.

Thank you for the checkup --> ive installed and works perfect.  It is just updates and does not remove any current data.
