[solved] Anchors in menu Content type: Internal Link

How do I create an internal link with an anchor in order to have it show in my menu.
Once I set a destination page it only goes to the page and not the anchor.

If I type the anchor in manually via my browser it works.
I do not want to use {cms_selflink dir="main" anchor="spamPolicy"}

The system uses "Content type: Internal Link" to create links yet it does not gave a GUI for anchors. The table of contents UDT is fine for the actual page but this anchor need to be on the main menu.

Creating a new page for the content is easier but the menu should support anchors.

I've just run into the need to have some menu items link to an internal page with anchor.

this original post addresses that issue but  does not provide a solution.

How is it possible to have a sub-menu link to anchored text on a page?

Content type: internal page link...

Additional Parameters: #anchor
    anchor being the name of the anchor on the page, you have to put the anchors on the page which is ez with the anchor button...

Thank you for that.

Is that documented somewhere? I searched the docs but did not see that referenced although I may have overlooked it.
