CMS 1.3.1 / Search 1.5 / keyword variations???

I am creating a site using the search module... when i search for "nannies" it finds the pages there this word is located... but when i search for "nannie" it does not find any

is there a way to make this work??

Sorry to hijack tonypb's thread but there might be something related going on.

I have had issues with search since 1.3.1 too, in my case search results show pages that have the search word in their content but not the page whose menu text (and/or title) is the exact word. I briefly talked to calguy in IRC a couple of weeks ago and he wasn't sure what it could and re-indexing didn't help. Didn't have the problem in 1.2.5 and below.

Here is my (pretty much default install) support tool output that may be helpful

I too tried to re-index and still no help  since the search wasnt in the original quote to my client, i might just remove it for now but would be great to get a solution

Have you tried Pisearch module?
