Hi guys

on my non cms static sites i use a joomla tool called frontpage to show the 4 latest news stories. I am looking someone to help me code into my cms site a multi rotational news section to go onto the front page of my site, like what i have in my current site shown below:

i want to have a similar thing on my cms site, only i would like it setup so that the 4 most recently added news items go into the main page rotator which would look something like this:

a friend of mine has succesffully incorporated it into his wordpress site here

and i would like to do it with cms, but i feel this requires some coding to be created, i am not the greatest coder in the world and would be willing to pay up to £30 = $59 if someone could help me out with this? I can pay through paypal.

i could wreck my brain on this for days but im in a bit of a rush for it and i would appriciate is some coding genius could do it for me for a few quid

you should be able to strip the fpss script/css out of joomla and pair those with a customized news summary template in cmsms.

yea i dont think this is going to be very hard for programmers to do, but i aint much off a programmer u think u could do it? i can provide the fpss code for it.

Kermit say that it's a script with license for joomla only.
Code (javascript and css) is not a problem (grab from your link or in joomla pack), the problem is rewrite all code for avoid license ....

i didn't mention anything about license, but yes.. this is one of those annoying 'commercial' joomla addons. if ya bought it, probably no big deal, as there is what they call a 'static php' version of it available anyway. most of the script it uses is mit-licensed mootools, just a very small part is covered by their commercial license. i think all you'd need is the scripts, css and a news template that spits out the html the way the script is looking for it (look at your own output html for what you need to generate out of the news template).

this is not an uncommon feature on web sites.. there's gotta be something out there under a free license that'll do the job.

i bought the static version for it, not the joomla version.

I have the static code of how the rotator works in static php sites and i can work with the person and share the coding of it with them.

Seriously, anything is possible mate.  I don't know why people haven't jumped at your offer, maybe as this is an open source community they won't do it unless you don't pay them! I would love to help but I'm dead busy with my own project. But let me think about it and if I have an idea I'll let you know. This forum probably does personal messaging so feel free to send me one.
