RE: No thumbnails are being Generated for Non Admin User...

I'm in a good flow with CMSMS at the moment and I have an exciting new site almost ready.

The Album, using light-box templates is the centre attraction. It works perfectly! - For me, - the Admin.

my "user" who is in another group with barely any permissions is having trouble. When he tries to add new photos using the Album module, no thumbnails are generated. This means when thumbnails should be displayed, instead you get the full size picture and so the page looks terrible. Like I say, I as the admin have no problems.

Is there perhaps some permission that NEEDS to be enabled in order for it to work? I'm trying to keep what he is allowed to do to the bear minimum...

If he is set as Editor look in permissions to see the permission they need...

Users & Groups » Group Permissions > Editor...

I've set up a new group, with a new set of group permissions.

He has permission to use the Album Module, I've checked that box...

When I log on as him, there's no problem accessing the album module, but when you upload images, they have question marks over the thumbnails.

It's just very strange, because when I do the same logged on as Admin (me), the thumbnails are generated and the album works fine.

I've got the same problem, no thumbnails generated for non-admin users.
Problem occurs on version 1.31 and 1.4.1 (have not tested in other versions).

Album itself doesn't make the thumbs, surprise, go back to your new user/group and give all permissions and them start removing them one at a time till they can't get thumbs, or give them permissions till they can make thumbs...

Is it the butler in the pantry with the candlestick?.... will we ever know...

The thumbnails are generated if the user has the permission "Modify Files". Is this permission really necessary?
