Seeking users with persistent TinyMCE problems [UPDATED]
Posted: Sun Jun 29, 2008 3:28 pm
[UPDATE]
Thanks to an extremely rapid respons from a user with tiny-problems, one thing has been narrowed down as causing tiny to break. On some systems (suexec-ones it seems) neither tinyconfig.php nor it's parent-dirs must be writable, or tinyconfig.php cannot be read directly. In svn-version of TinyMCE an error is now shown if this is the problem.
I still very much would like to get in touch with people for whom this does not solve the problem!
[/UPDATE]
Hello
Being the maintainer of the TinyMCE-module I'm sorry to hear that some people still simply cannot make it show at all. I have absolutely no idea of the reason, but I'm determined to track down the problem. I am therefore seeking users who
a. have a working cmsms (1.3+) installation with a non-working TinyMCE editor
OR
b. had to be very slack with the permissions of the modules-dir to make it work, giving chmod 777 for instance (no it should not require this!)
AND
c. will be willing to give me both temporary admin-right to the cmsms-installation and ftp-access
I promise I won't touch anything other than TinyMCE and I'll give you a notice when I'm done so you can change the password.
You can PM me here or send me an email at mortenpoulsen @ gmail.com
It would really be a great help! Let's nail these bugs!
Thanks!
Regards
Silmarillion/Morten
