Hi.

I'm REALLY sorry for asking this but I am a complete n00b to CMSMS still.
I want to upgrade. I believe I am using CMSMS 1.2.5...I want to use the newest and most stable release of CMSMS, v1.3.1.

I don't want to lose any custom templates or my site though.
Can anyone give me a thorough procedure on how to do this? I read the wiki where I have to back-up admin templates, but I want to make sure that I am going to be doing the right thing...do I even have to back it up? Does this new CMSMS version have any template changes etc?

Please help me. I am totally lost here. Upgrading from 1.2.4 to 1.2.5 was a breeze, but I'm afraid with the new 1.x there...please help me.

The procedure should be the same, just dont forget to backup all the database and files first, in case you screw it up :>

no, but of course backup your files and database first.

I did a back-up on my server then went ahead with the upgrade.
The process was a breeze! Well done CMSMS. I was so scared that something major was changed since it was a whole new series (1.3, not the old 1.2 series that I was now used to), but it was just like upgrading from 1.2.4 to 1.2.5 - just more files.
