CMS Made Simple Forums

I know that these forums run on SMF, but can anyone confirm that this guide http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 785.0.html was used to implement it?

No, that guide wasn't actually used. We tried that way first, but encountered too many problems. This forum is actually just the forum with the CMSMS header and footer in the template. As you can see from the url it's not a CMSMS page.

We're still looking for an ideal way to integrate a forum like SMF with CMSMS, using the same user base etc. There is the punBB module for that forum, but it's kind of only going halfway. Not sure if anyone has had a serious look into that recently though.

I know this is an old post, but is this still accurate?  can I get a little direction on how to make this happen on my site?  I'm wondering what would be the easiest way..
