Workflow: Draft/Approval system?

I'm planning a site for a school and of course they want a senior person to approve all new pages or edits to existing pages before they go live. Is there a way to have CMSMS work like this - where new pages / uploads and edits are queued for approval?  I browsed through all the modules and couldn't see anything that might do that. Joomla will, of course, but it's more of a pain for templating and page creation.

1.* versions don't have a formal workflow.  2.* is supposed to, but I haven't tried any of the SVN stuff, so I can't confirm that it's in there.  Someone else can confirm?

Yes, but in 1.x things can be hacked with the event manager and some code in UDT.

For the Time being... I do the same thing by having it installed twice... one that dose no get indexed by robots and ect. and one that is full live to the web... I get appovals on the delopment site and the copy it over to the live site... it works for now...
