Hey titti,

SimpleViewer needs the Uploads module to work. Download and install the latest version from the forge and it should work fine.

I've got SimpleViewer installed and running. It looks nice, but the image I select is only slightly larger than the thumbnail, not full size. I defined max width/height as 600. Can I fix that myself?

Also more troublesome is that the flash object hides my CSSMenu submenus - I see a few pixels at the left only.

Seems to be the same in IE & Firefox

You need to download both SimpleViewer and Uploads, unzip them and upload them to the modules folder, so that they each are ni their own folder (/modules/simpleviewer and /modules/uploads, although I'm not sure about lower or upper case).

Then install both modules in Extensions/Modules in the admin panel, by clicking install.

Hoep that helps.

Titti: What'd you do to fix it? I'm having the same problem as you, but I followed the instructions from the beginning (both modules installed, used Uploads to add photo).

Edit: Oops, I meant to address my message to pinthenet.  I'm having the same problem: The pic is barely larger than the thumbnail and the flash covers my popup menu.

The parameters in the simpleviewer admin directly relate to the parameters used for the xml, including the spacing between the thumb panel and the image itself, and the size of the image.  it's just a matter of tweaking these parameters.    I'm not too familiar with simpleviewer myself, but did manage to get it working by fooling with these parameters.

Hello All

I am having the same problem with simpleViewer,
some backrownd...
I am putting together a photography site using Swish.... all is well...
On one of the pages (Gallerys) I have 5 links to deferent albums (SimpleViewer albums).

When I setup my first test album I had all the files and image folders in the main directory as all the other SWF files. that worked just fine...
But since I need to have 5 or more albums I took all the files from each album and placed them in separate folders (ex. Portraits, Events etc.)..now I modified my button scripts so that they call on the opropriate SWF file with in each album folder.... Unfortunetly what happens is that it sees the SWF file, starts to load the dataXML file but nothing else happens..

Please note that if I click on the SWF file directly everything workes fine...???

Can any one help...here is the link for my test site...if you go to gallerys and click on the weddings image you will see what I mean.

Not entirely sure what you are after and I have no experience of simple viewer, but you may like to have a look at this thread...

Greetings:

Please forgive me as I am a newbie........
I have a working version of Simple Viewer installed via xampp on a Windows machine. Feeling confident from this I installed on my CMSMS install on my webpage....and doesn't work. I get a page with no images.

From what I can tell the .simpleviewer.xml and the .thumbs folder do not appear on my webpage version (in the folder containing the created gallery) but they do on my xampp machine. I was told by someone it is because the system is unix and files begininning with a period (.simpleviewer.xml will not work. I have limited Unix knowledge so if anyone could give me assistance I would be most appreciative!!
