Site migration: No Admin menu, No index.php

I recently moved my site from a local server to an internet server, I cleared my cache, backed up the sql file, copied it to my new server, changing the permissions via ftp and reuploaded the sql.
However, the frontend of the site tells me that the site is under maintenance and when I attempt to access the admin page I am greeted by a blank screen.
Any ideas?
I'm using CMS 1.2.5, PHP 5.2.5 Apache 2.2.8 (unix)

Delete the SITEDOWN file in the tmp/cache folder.

Cheers for the quick reply.
I've found and removed the file, but i'm now getting a blank page for both admin and frontend.
Sorry to bug, and I can't really be more helpful, 'cuse there's nothing to comment onĀ

.
EDIT: I don't know if this'll help but I found this in the server error log,
[Tue Jun 03 21:22:02 2008] [error] [client **.***.***.**] File does not exist: /home/morgancou/public_html/index.php, referer:
http://sijmusic.co.uk/cmsmadesimple/(edited, not referral)
How would I change the file relationship, it's clearly not going to the cmsmadesimple sub folder.

Change your paths in the config.php file.

I have the same problem. I updated my paths in my config file, double-checked every file was uploded into the correct spot on the host server.
I am running this:
$CMS_VERSION = "1.2.4";
$CMS_VERSION_NAME = "Greenland";
$CMS_SCHEMA_VERSION = "29";
on an apache server by netfirms.ca
Should I run php4 or php5 and do I need to specify which I choose to run somewhere in my config?
Cheers
Andrea

Have you tried putting the install folder from your unpacked ver. of CMSMS back in and running upgrade, I've done most every time I did a move and it worked...

you are going to
be cracked if you don't upgrade to latest stable release.

Thank you. How do I upgrade? I barely downloaded it and already have to upgrade. Is there a mailing list I should be on?
I cleared my cache and managed to get my home page for like one second but the images weren't there. So I reloaded the files by ftp and then I lost it again. Shoudl all file permissions be 777, 755, what is recommended?
Thank you
Andrea

Look here for file permissions steps 4 and 5 then step 12...
http://wiki.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php ... ck_Install
Then FTP the unpacked 1.2.5 folders/files to your site and run yoursite.com
/install/upgrade.php...

Please surf more before posting.
Yes, there are mailing lists. And the blog has a low traffic RSS feed.
