Where's my WYSIWYG editor?

Heyas,

Installed CMSMS (0.73) yesterday - looks great, easy to use, etc etc. One problem though - I don't have the WYSIWYG editor! It's enabled (and I've tried disabling and reenabling it) but nada - does not appear.

Any ideas what's going on?

Hmm. Where to start? :)

First and foremost. HTMLArea does not work in Safari or any other browser based on Konqueror. This is actually a weird restriction in the parser, and no other Textarea based WYSIWYG will work either.

If you're using Firefox (and you should be...), there is a Javascript Console that you can open up and see if there are Javascript errors and what they actually are.

Make sure you're using English. The WYSIWYG does work in all of the other languages, but there have been issues in the past and you just never can tell.

Maybe even try turning off the htmlarea traslations in config.php, though that shouldn't do much if you're using English.

That's about all I can think of at the moment. Please let me know if any of that helps.

Okay - using Opera and IE6 (*shudder* for testing purposes only). One of these day's I'll try Firebird - honest!

Am definitely using English.

Just tried turning off htmlarea translations - seems to have worked. Well, for IE, anyway - Opera is still busted. In fact, just today all the images seem to be disabled in the admin section (ticks/crosses/banner/etc), but only in Opera. IE looks normal.

Bizarre. Thanks for the help, though :) Now tell me - is there a calendar module available? :)

I wish. Someone started one and then promptly disappeared before it was finished. No one has taken over the responsibility yet, but I've been surprised by stuff coming out of the blue before.

I've just created a wishlist page on the wiki for module ideas. Can you add what you'd want to see in a calendar module?
