Self Registration 0.1.2

I installed Self Registration module 0.1.2 with CMSMS 0.10.3. I have the FrontEndUser module 0.1.4 installed. The SelfRegistration module does not recognized the FrontEndUser module as being installed.

The Self Registration module has a dependency on the FrontEndUser and CMSMailer modules. I also installed the CMSMailer module, however, I got a class.phpmailer.php fatal error and had to uninstall it.

It would save a lot of time if the module developers would state which modules and versions are dependent on each other--more testing before publishing would be good as well.

the class.phpmailer error probably means you have an older version of the FeedbackForm module installed.  It also used PHPMailer, which causes a conflict with cmsmailer.

I agree more documentation, etc, is needed to show which modules are dependant upon what, I haven't quite figured out how to do this yet.  I will make some modifications to the help panel today to better illustrate the requirements.  and will see about modifying the front page on the forge for each of these projects.

FEUsers, and SelfReg require the 0.11 series of cmsmade simple.  there are api functions, bug fixes, etc, that are not available in the 0.10 series that are required.

Thanks Calguy,

Is the the beta version 11 as stable as CMSMS 10 and can I just upload the beta files and write over version 10 or is the upgrade to 11  more involved?

Well, I think the beta is more stable, however there is a problem with upgrading with respect to menus.  so that may cause you a bit of grief.

The upgrade process is similar to the install process.  Just untar/unzip into the same directory then go to /install/upgrade.php with your browser.
