Customizing CSS Menu

I'm trying to put a Administrator menu in my site so i leave the normal menu for all users, but depending on the frontenduser group it show a second menu if you r admin.
The Admin menu should only display the admin levels of the menu so i wanted to use:
{cms_module module='cssmenu' showadmin="1" start_element="5"}
but it doen't work... It shows when i just put in the adminlink but it dissapears when i put the start_level in... What am I overlooking?

For the usermenu it should show only level 1 to 4 of the CSSMenu... is this possible? end_element?
