In the last year I've noticed a big increase in the amount of attention being paid to Microformats [http://microformats.org/], and see that some CMS's - such as textpattern and wordpress - incorporate some of them out of the box, while I see that Drupal is going to do so in future releases.

I think CMSMS, with it's templating system, is ideal for implementing Microformats and I'm starting to submit templates to module developers in the hope that they will be used in future. So far I have created an hCalendar template for Events, and an hAtom template for News; if anyone would like a copy, please ask.

If any module developer would like a hand implementing Microformats in their templates, I'd be only too happy to lend a hand.

pat_in_wv has done similar things (His online name is Pat_ I think).... you may want to message him and collaborate.

I'm not opposed to changing the default templates for News and calendar to support microformats once stuff is all ironed out.
