Installing over normal version

Hi Guys,
The past week or so I have been creating a website for a school using CMS - you can see it here:
http://www.ywern.org.uk - the site is in English.
Now the Headteacher wants me to start working on the Welsh version. This is not a problem and I was originally going to create two installs of the main CMS release and log in twice to update it (first English and then Welsh). Installations would be in a seperate directory eng_portal and wel_portal (for the Welsh language version).
Now I've discovered this CMSMS - seems like it could be the way forward, but can anyone advise on the best way of installing it over the top of the version I am using? (Tree Hill). I don't want to break anything, so maybe installing a seperate version is the best option. What do you guys thing?
Your opinion is appreciated,
GJE
