Just published another website using cmsms http://www.invest-in-monttremblant.co.uk/

Very simple site, styled to show off the images and simply convey the key messages.

Developed using CMSMS v1.2.3, the only technical additions are:
  • Added some google map links (did raw code rather than use any of the plugins
  • Made some use of the rather good modules available, including form builder (v0.5), captcha, front-end-user (v1.4.2) & self registration (v1.1.6) & Custom- Content (v1.5), plus systeminfo (v0.1.2)
  • Used Alberto Benati's rather good image-rotator (v1.6) plugin on the home page
  • lastly I needed to do real-time foreign exchange currency conversion, I found someone had generously written an OS class, which I ported across into cmsms as a plugin. It works great, as soon as I add the help & about code, I will upload it to cmsmadesimple.org.
  • external to cmsms I wrote a quick logo-image maker in PHP/GD that constructs a single banner header image from a directory of thumbnails.
  • On the outstanding to do list, I have to add in a request information page after visitors have registered. I hope to use the form builder to present the form, but having scanned form builder I do not think I can get it to handle all of the conditional actions I need for the forms disposition (e.g. add content, links and attachments to an email that varies dependent upon the responses to the form). I hope to link the form submission to a user defined tag, which will call a custom plugin to handle the form output.

Doing this site has been a bit of a rush, from inception to publishing this first version (which still has a few blank holding pages in places) only took approx 4 day work/2 weeks elapsed - and most of that has been editing images.

CMSMS great product - provides a HUGE headstart to delivering websites

Enjoy

The site name/link in the header is difficult to read above the graphic. Also, I find the dark red text of the menu difficult to read.
