[solved] can't see TinyMCE WYSIWYG Basic

Hello,

I have installed TinyMCE WYSIWYG Basic through module manager in my cmsms but cannot for the life of me see the editior - even when I login as an editor and edit a global content block or page and/or toggle the "Turn WYSIWYG on/off" checkbox on the global content pages for example .

I am using FF2 and have also tested in IE7 and IE6 and cannot see the wisywig anywhere.

(I can see the wisywig on this page for example, which is how I made this text bold.)

My client will need a wisywig as he does not know html (which is why we're using cmsms).

So my question is, where is the wisywig?

Any ideas?

Thank you kindly in advance.

Code: Select all

I have installed TinyMCE WYSIWYG Basic through module manager
This can help:
- deinstall and remove the current TinyMCE
- install the latest TinyMCE: http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/frs/downlo ... .4.0b4.zip
- make sure, WYSYWIG is enabled in global und user preferences
- open "Extensions"--> "TinyMCE WYSIWYG" in your browser and reload the page with "CTRL+F5".

Is the TinyMCE test area now working? (if yes, ckeck all default settings for your needs)

Hello Wiedmann,

Thank you for that - I have to run away from my computer for 5 or so hours - will try your advice then.
Cheers.

Nick

I still can't see tinyMCE in any browser - but FCKeditor is working so will run with that.
