Hi I have version 1.2.3 installed and am having trouble with the TinyMCE editor.

It seems to work ok on Firefox but wont come up on IE. I have it enabled in the user preferences and all but still nothing.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance guys :)

Please retry with CMSms 1.2.4 which installs TinyMCE 2.2.7.
And check your IE is supported.

I am also having this problem.

Version 1.2.4 running on IE6

TinyMCE WYSIWYG is turned on and showing as ticked, but no editor.

In Firefox, it looks ok, but cannot find the source files when inserting a picture I have uploaded.

It works perfectly on another CMSMS site using IE6 on the same computer.

The same problem exists even if I use IE7.

I have just now installed V1.2.3 for another site I am starting and its the same problem again.

To Clarify:

Site1 - CMSMS 1.2.3.  TinyMCE working perfectly on IE6 and Firefox - Windows Server

Site2 - CMSMS 1.2.3.  TinyMCE not working at all using IE6 and Firefox - Windows Server

Site3 - CMSMS 1.2.4.  TinyMCE not working at all using IE6, working ok in Firefox, but cannot use copy and paste commands in Firefox - Windows Server

Using IE7 on a different PC same problem - editor not working - no toolbar showing.

Please, please help soon, someone....

I cannot understand why the editor toolbar shows perfectly on Site A admin and why it does not show at all on Site B admin.

Both are on the same shared server and all files have been configured the same.

They are on Windows servers.

There must be some core problem here because so many people have reported the same problem.

I agree : the "core problem" doesn't seem CMSms specific because you have one site "working perfectly".
You must investigate the "under CMSms" layers (PHP, network, webserver, OS...) to compare how the contexts are not the same to replicate the working one.

I believe I have investigated every possible aspect on the server side and on the local browser side with no resolution.

It looks like I just have to abandoned TinyMCE and try to install a different one.

If anyone has a good suggestion I would welcome it at this point.

Have you tried "TinyMCE-2.4.0b4"?

I'd like to call it "yet another Windows nightmare". But as I'm not Windows-skilled I can't tell.

Pierre et al

I have resolved the issue for me at least and hopefully for others.

I got a colleague to upload the cmsms files from his system to my server using his ftp programme and everything worked fine.

Problem was with the setting on my ftp programme - I was NOT uploading to the root on my server.

Once I correctly set my ftp programme everything works perfectly.

You must be absolutely certain you have the correct location when uploading - seems obvious but it is very tricky.

Hopefully this will fix it for others with this problem.

Thanks to all who helped and offered suggestions.

Hence may be "yet another FTP upload issue" ? To be confirmed by others.
