Help with template/directory integration

I am working on a project that basically is a web directory (sort of) but I want a cms rather than something like phpld.
So, I have integrated the basic template and got som friendly help from Nullig here at the forum.
Now I need more help, there is 2 ways to go, either include a directory or sort of costumising the menu handling (that was myoriginal plan, but I cant really handle the menu interface).
