Creating your own admin modules

Just found this site by accident yesterday night, installed CMSMS 30 min later and incorporating my code into the pages.
So far I'm extremely impressed by this. It offers seemless integration for everything !
The admin panel is nice, clean and fast.
Well, anyway, I've created some web applications, such as polls and such, but I'd like to incorporate a seperate admin panel for this into the existing one.
For example, under Extensions, you have TinyMCE, which is an admin panel for TinyMCE.
I'd like to make those for my own scripts too.
What's the best way to tackle this ?
Is there documentation on the API functions ?
Thanks in advace
